Derma Pro Micro-Needling
Skin needling, also called micro-needling therapy or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally-invasive non-surgical and non-ablative cosmetic procedure for facial rejuvenation that involves the use of a micro-needling device to create controlled skin injury. As each fine needle punctures the skin, it creates a channel or micro-wound. The controlled injury triggers the body to fill these micro-wounds by producing new collagen and elastin which improves skin texture, smooths wrinkles, fine lines and softens scars.
Treatment Description
During skin needling treatment, slim, fine needles push below the surface of the skin and cause what is called a micro-wound. When these wounds are created, the body’s natural defences are triggered and it begins to produce new skin cells, capillaries, and collagen in order to repair the damage. This natural repair process caused by skin needling eventually leads to younger-looking skin that’s also firmer and plumper.
Treatment time: 45 minutes
Results: Results are visible immediately and will continue to improve over the next few weeks as new collagen forms.
Downtime: There may be swelling around the treated areas, although this usually subsides within a day or so.
